Suttons Sweet Basil Vegetable Seeds produces tasty, aromatic leaves. This true Italian basil is easy to grow. Sow in a propagator on a windowsill or thinly in pots or trays in a greenhouse at approximately 10-15°C (50-60°F) using a good quality compost. Cover seeds with 6mm (¼") sieved compost. Grow on, planting out when frost risk has passed, 23cm (9") apart. Transplant into 9cm (3") pots for windowsill growing. Can also be sown thinly direct outside at a depth of about 6mm (¼"). Grows best in well drained soil in a sunny position. This seed has been carefully tested to ensure high germination. Every packet contains a generous quantity of seeds and is foil packed to keep seeds fresh.
